Why is New Mexico great for an elopement?

Would you like to get married on a mountain, by a lake, next to a river, in a canyon, in an open desert, or even by a dormant volcano? Well if any of those take your fancy, then New Mexico can provide it. The White Sands National Park offers something very unique, and is a stunning backdrop for an elopement or outdoor wedding. Or if you can’t decide between desert, mountain or forest, then you might want to check out Santa Fe which offers all of these! New Mexico is also famous for its clear skies, which makes it perfect for capturing stunning wedding photographs.

Summers in New Mexico are very hot, but having your wedding at a higher altitude will offer lower temperatures if it’s too much for you. During the winter, you can expect temperatures around or just above freezing depending on which part of the state you’re in.
