Marriage licenses in Arizona are issued by Superior Courthouses, or a Justice Court office.

Both residents and non-residents may apply for a marriage license in Arizona.

In Arizona, marriage license is valid for 12 months from the date it was issued.

Couples must be at least 18 years old to marry in Arizona. You can marry at 16 with parental consent.

WILL I NEED TO TAKE ID?

Both parties must present valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, to verify their identity and prove they meet the age requirement. For those getting married at 16 or 17 with parental consent, you will also need to present a certified copy of an Emancipation Order or a notarized Clerk’s Office parental consent form. You will also need your parent or legal guardian’s ID, or have them present at the appointment.
